What is your wedding photography style?
My wedding style is a mix of candid wedding photojournalism and formal portraiture, therefore, you can expect a mix of formal poses and candid photo journalistic shots throughout your special day. I prefer to minimize my impact and presence during your wedding so you’ll barely know I’m there.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I only use professional Nikon digital photography equipment. I mainly shoot with a Nikon D700 camera body and the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and Nikon 50mm f/1.4 lenses. I also ensure that I have redundancy on both camera body and lenses in the rare case that a piece of equipment were to fail.
How much would it cost for me to book you to shoot my wedding?
I offer high-quality wedding photography for a reasonable price. Please refer to my wedding pricing page for more details.
Do you photograph destination weddings? If so how much do you charge for travel fees?
Yes; I am also a travel photographer so photographing destination weddings allows me to combine my expertise in both areas to truly capture your wedding. The travel fees associated with photographing a destination wedding depend on the location but usually this includes the cost of one hotel room, a rental car and associated flight or driving costs. Depending on how far from Boise, Idaho you get married I may make exceptions and I am always flexible.
Will you provide a secondary photographer on the day of the wedding?
Given advanced request I will make every effort to provide a second photographer however there may be times during the year when this may not be possible. I work with Rob Crow at Vivid Corvid Photography who specializes in wedding, travel and nature photography.
When will you show up and leave on the day of the wedding?
I like to work with the bride and groom to fit the needs for their particular day but I usually like to show up when the bridesmaids start getting ready. I will leave after the important portions of the reception are completed.
How will you deliver my photographs to me after the wedding?
I am not a photographer who charges high prices for prints and digital copies. Therefore, included in my price is the expectation that I provide you the client, the images from your wedding day. These high-resolution images (JPEG format) will usually be sent to you on a CD or USB drive.
How many photographs should I expect to get back from you as my photographer?
This depends on the wedding and the situation but I usually try to provide around 400 photographs from your wedding day.
How long should I expect to wait after the wedding before I get my photos from you?
You should expect to wait up to 3 weeks for your wedding images however they are usually delivered in 1-2 weeks.
Who retains the rights of the photographs you take of my wedding?
I believe in letting you, the client, have full access to print and display the photographs that were captured on your wedding day. Therefore the images I provide you are under a ‘shared’ copyright which gives you, the client, and me, the photographer, ownership of the images. The Client can only use the images for personal, non-commercial use.
Do you have any wedding vendors you regularly work with whom you would highly suggest?
